Atila Pesyani to take ‘Tiki-Taka’ on stage in Germany

Iranian actor and theater director Atila Pesyani is to stage a play titled ‘Tiki-Taka’ in Germany.

Iranian actor and theater director Atila Pesyani has set to take his play ‘Tiki-Taka’ on stage at Gasteig Cultural Center in Germany.

The play will be performed a part of the Iranian Cultural Festival ‘Termeh’ on March 1, 2018.

First performed in Tehran six years ago, the play is about a traditional, conservative father and his son who have completely different ideas. Yet they struggle to reach a mutual understanding.

Pesyani and his real son Khosrow perform the play.

Born in 1957, Pesyani studied theater acting and directing at the College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, and began his acting career on stage in 1968.

He made his cinematic debut in 1983 with the movie ‘White Death’ and has since appeared in numerous films.

Among the movies in which he has performed from 2001 to 2014 are ‘The Hidden Half’, ‘Ceasefire 1' and 'Ceasfire 2’, ‘Hidden Feeling’, ‘Throughout the Night’, ‘The President’s Cell Phone’ and ‘The Wooden Bridge’.

Some series which he has played roles in from 2006 to 2014 include ‘The First Night of Peace’, ‘Privacy Policy’, ‘Goodbye Child’, ‘A Piece of Land’, ‘Like a Mother’, ‘Madineh’ and ‘A Beautiful Revolution’.

Pesyani received nominations for the Best Supporting Actor awards for the movies ‘Two Women’, ‘The Burnt Generation’, ‘The Last Supper’ and ‘Who Killed Amir?’ as well as a nomination for the Crystal Simorgh of Best Leading Actor for ‘In Cold Blood’ in different editions of the Fajr Film Festival.

Besides acting, he has worked in other cinematic fields such as directing and assistant directing as well as a number of experiences in theater.

The Iranian Cultural Festival ‘Termeh’ will be launched in Munich on February 28 to run until March 6.
